© St. John’s Episcopal Church Testimonial by Héctor Umaña  for Annual Appeal September 18, 2011 How are you all doing on this beautiful Sunday morning? For those of you who don't know me, my name is Héctor Umaña. My family and I have been members of Saint John's for  six years now and it's been a great spiritual journey. It was my Mom's 2005 New Year's resolution to find a church that we could all go to. When she found out about the English classes here at the church, she was captivated by the welcoming people and especially Padre Juan (Father John). Shortly after my Mom convinced the family to attend at least one service, we all agreed to give it a try. (My mother being what you may call a "Jesus addict")  got her way. Church was not a new thing in our lives, but we were new in the area and it was hard to find a church that we could all feel comfortable in. Saint John's fulfilled our expectations, and we have kept on coming back Sunday after Sunday. After all these years at Saint John's, I can say that this church has become our spiritual home. The members at Saint John's have made it easy for my family and me to feel comfortable and happy being a part of the church. I would like to close with a passage from John 15:5 "I am the Vine, you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit" God Bless you all and may His light continue to shine upon you. God Bless Saint John's! -- Héctor Umaña Click on the above image to open the Annual Appeal 2012 brochure.
